Adam Ormond

Adam Ormond has more than 10 years’ experience analyzing, architecting, developing and validating systems in both the federal and commercial space. Mr. Ormond currently works with Applied Information Sciences, where he leads teams in the design and implementation of software solutions to complex business problems. Mr. Ormond does this using agile methodologies, CASE tools, various programming languages, and Microsoft products and technologies. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Software Engineering and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree. Mr. Ormond is also an Agile Certified Practitioner and is passionate about delivering working software that satisfies customers’ desires.

Allison Christman

Allison Christman is a UI/UX Digital Designer focused on the human factor. She loves to create something great and then improve it after usability testing. Allison focuses mainly on desktop, mobile and SharePoint websites, and has been using the Adobe Web Suite of products (including Flash and Dreamweaver) for over 13 years. She creates most websites with CSS and HTML. Allison also creates Windows 8 apps and responsive design including CSS3 and HTML5.

Amit Jain

Amit Jain is Lead DevOps with 12 years of experience in Microsoft Technologies. He joined AIS in April 2013. For past few years, he has been involved in Azure Governance and Data related cloud automation projects.

Amy Smith

Amy Smith has nearly 10 years of professional Talent Acquisition experience with nearly ten years specializing in the recruitment of high-end software professionals for various technical services firms in the Washington metropolitan area. Her passion for helping technical folks progress in their careers was the perfect marriage with Applied Information Sciences and their unprecedented growth. Amy is in constant pursuit of honing her recruitment craft and building on her knowledge base to share with her colleagues. She is actively involved with the local technical community and serves on the board of the Central Maryland ASP.NET Professionals user group and the Baltimore GiveCamp. Andrew Bassett

Andrew Bassett is a software engineer with over a dozen years of experience focused primarily in .NET technologies with an extensive background in automation. Andrew spent several years as a system administrator at Marriott International developing techniques for and managing a global deployment of thousands of Windows based servers. Following that, he started doing development on custom Thin Client solutions and BlackBerry administration. At AIS he has been working extensively on developing PowerShell automation for creating SharePoint environments from scratch.

Andrew Middleton

Andrew Middleton is an Infrastructure Consultant with AIS and has over 12 years’ experience in enterprise web/portal application design, development and architecture. His clients have included large DoD customers such as the U.S. Marine Corps, Army, Navy and the Air National Guard. He has implemented enterprise class systems using various Microsoft technologies such as ASP.NET, SharePoint and Team Foundation Server and enjoys using PowerShell to automate administration and reporting. After serving as a United States Peace Corps volunteer in Nicaragua, he began his career in IT working for a dotcom. His technical career spans roles as a developer, integration specialist, configuration manager and solutions architect.

Andrew Welch

I am a Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) in Business Applications focusing primarily on Power Platform adoption, enterprise management, and governance. I apply that focus as Director of the Business Applications and Automation Group at Applied Information Sciences (AIS), a principal creator of the Power Platform Adoption Framework, international speaker, and in my blog at Runway View. I’ve been working for eighteen+ years on a combination of implementation leadership of some of the largest Dynamics instances in the world, and service with a startup, private equity, Fortune 500, higher education, and government organizations. Anthony Mudd is a software engineer with over a dozen years of experience focused primarily in .NET and SharePoint technologies. He began his career with AIS in 2007. His clients have included small and large eCommerce companies, custom desktop solution providers, and enterprise web application providers. For the past three years, Anthony has been developing custom SharePoint applications for the Department of Defense.

Arun Mudiraj

Arun Mudiraj is a Technical Manager at Applied Information Sciences and has 13 years of experience in architecture, design and development of Windows, and mobile and network applications using Microsoft technologies. He has worked on projects ranging from embedded systems to large-scale enterprise systems involving different languages and frameworks. Prior to joining AIS he worked as Deloitte, Cognizant as a lead, implementing custom solutions for verticals like manufacturing, medical devices and media and entertainment.

Ash Tewari

Ash joined AIS in May 2012 as a Senior Software Engineer. He has a Master’s of Science in Engineering from Auburn University and a Bachelor’s in Technology from Regional Engineering College in Jalandhar, India. He is passionate about creating software and finding ways to improve his craft. For more than a decade, Ash has built software components, applications and frameworks encompassing desktop and web clients, middleware components and databases. Ben Brouse

Ben Brouse is a Solution Director in the Office of the CTO with experience delivering mission critical cloud computing solutions and initiatives for organizations. Benyamin Famili

Benyamin is a Solution Specialist in the Office of the CTO. He is a technology-agnostic individual who passionate about delivering a tailored solution or value from diverse realms. He started his career more than a decade ago in fields like Networking, Linux, Windows, Hypervisors, and web technologies. He used to be a Site Reliability Engineer before joining AIS. His cloud journey started with Amazon Web Services (AWS), and his concentration from 2016 has been Microsoft Azure. He loves architecting and designing systems and procedures for different use cases and requirements. He helped companies on Business Continuity Plan (BCP) goals and, improving composite SLA and by resiliency re-design and implementation on IaaS and PaaS environment. He also helped companies on increasing readiness for PCI-DSS, FISMA, and GDPR. In his spare time, he loves reading, watches documentaries, and cooks new dishes.

Brent Wodicka

Brent Wodicka is a Senior Software Architect and Consultant at Applied Information Sciences. He and has been with the company since 2007, and has been active in the industry for ten years. During his time at AIS Brent has worked on enterprise class solution development with focus on .NET, SharePoint, and Business Intelligence. Most recently, he has enjoyed implementing solutions leveraging cloud and mobile offerings from Microsoft. Prior to joining AIS, Brent worked for Nortel Government Solutions and VisualPoint, Inc.

Bryan Kail

Bryan Kail is an AIS Technical Project Manager with over 10 years of experience specializing in Microsoft technologies. As a Microsoft Certified Professional, Bryan is skilled in understanding complex business processes and applying the right technologies to the right problems. Since 2009 he has led efforts to design and implement SharePoint 2010 and custom ASP.NET applications, hosted both traditionally and in the cloud. Bryan’s body of work at AIS includes applications for records management, business intelligence, case management, content management, and audio/video delivery supporting a full array of devices from desktops to tablets.

Chris Hettinger

Chris Hettinger is a technical professional with a vast background in many areas of computing ranging from electronics and hardware to administration and software development. He possesses approximately 20 years of experience in software development with 10 years of experience within the Microsoft .NET Framework. Chris is extremely versatile and can quickly get up-to-speed on the technologies required to meet customer needs. He joined AIS in 2011 and has been instrumental on several projects, serving as a development consultant to a wide array of clients including: Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), NFL Players Association (NFPLA), Exelon Corporation, Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Population Services International (PSI), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Chris Miller

Chris Miller is a member of the Federal Practice management team leading our efforts in the US Department of Treasury and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Mr. Miller has over 15 years of consulting services experience in the Washington Metropolitan Area supporting both public and private sector organizations. Prior to joining AIS, Chris spent several years developing, managing and deploying web enabled applications for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff and the US Navy. He holds a Master's degree in Information Systems from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's from Radford University. Chris is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and is passionate about solution development. Outside of the office, Chris likes spending time with his lovely wife and his three, sometimes adorable, children. Christine Frost

Christine Frost is a Customer Engagement Manager with over 20 years of management experience in various environments from small businesses to large government organizations, specifically 16 years in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. She has superior interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of personnel, establishing and maintaining effective customer relations. Her duties as Customer Engagement Manager include identifying opportunities for business process improvements, increasing awareness and knowledge of available information technology tools, developing immediate IT solutions and acting as a liaison between the IT support organization and the customer base for incidents and complex, custom IT solutions.

Christine Rabine

Christine is a UX Engineer with over 20 years of experience as a developer and designer. Preferring a blend of both design and front-end development, she has a diverse skill set of web application development, front-end web development, user interface development, user interface design, user experience design, web design, graphic design, illustration, and fine art. Clint is an AIS Solution Architect with over 20 years of industry experience and extensive knowledge of network troubleshooting, security, and architecture, specializing in cloud administration and infrastructure, specifically in Microsoft Azure and Office 365. Craig Floyd

Craig Floyd is a software engineer focusing on C# .NET technologies. His recent work has been on custom SharePoint solutions as well as WPF thin-client apps for government customers. His most recent contribution to the world, however, would be his daughter, who was born in early 2012. Craig received his BS at the University of Maryland at College park in Computer Engineering and his MS at Johns Hopkins University in Software Engineering.

Craig Swain

Craig Swain is an Infrastructure Consultant with Applied Information Sciences. He has over 20 years' experience in the information technology field, supporting a wide range of customer networks — both government and commercial. He has worked with SharePoint since the 2001 version. He also has a background supporting other collaborative portal solutions, off Microsoft and non-Microsoft platforms. In his spare time Craig is heavily involved with historical preservation and writing in the military history field.

Daniel Suenkel is an AIS Sr. Infrastructure Engineer with over 20 years of professional experience in architecture, design, build out, operations and maintenance of Information Technology infrastructure, web based, and client server environments at all phases. Darrin Brandon

Darrin Brandon is a software engineer with AIS' Raleigh, NC office. Darrin has over 15 years of software development and management experience across a wide variety of domains. He started his professional career by serving over 11 years as an Intelligence Analyst in the United States Air Force, and it was there that his passion for programming was born. While he originally "cut his teeth" on Classic ASP, he has lived on the .Net stack for more than a decade, with a primary focus on Web technologies. More recently, Darrin has taken a deep-dive into the SharePoint platform, serving as a developer on several projects for federal customers. In his spare time Darrin enjoys coaching baseball, hunting, fishing and chilling out around the fire pit with his family and friends.

David Green

David Green joined AIS-Raleigh in September of 2011 as a Senior Software Engineer. During his university years he set his mind on becoming a clinical psychologist, but after graduating realized he really loved programming more and redirected his attention to software development for the web. He appreciates programs that are cleanly and well architected with a preference for minimalism when it comes to front-end UI design and database architecture. His primary areas of interest are C#/MVC4 framework, iOS programming and NoSQL systems. Currently he is aspiring to be a Pluralsight author for NoSQL topics. David holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and economics from Northwestern University and a Masters in computer science from DePaul University with a concentration in artificial intelligence. George Gibb

George Gibb is a Cloud Solution Architect with AIS and has over 16 years of industry experience. George is passionate with cloud technologies, with a primary focus on Azure and other Microsoft technologies. He has supported multiple Federal Government Agencies over the years and is viewed as a trusted adviser by his customers. George has designed and maintained Active Directory, various desktop imaging technologies, Windows Server\Desktop, and Azure Solutions.

Glen Li

Glen Li is a Software Engineer with over 10 years of experience. Since joining AIS in 2012, his focus has been on designing and developing web-based solutions using .NET, SharePoint, and Dynamics CRM for federal government clients. Gregory Hill

Greg is a Senior Software Engineer with AIS. He is the new iOS development "subject matter expert". Prior to coming to AIS, he spent two-and-a-half years working independently, developing his own iOS apps and pitching product ideas to businesses in the Mid-Atlantic region. He has been involved in the software industry since the mid-80s, developing and supporting applications for such companies and institutions as Sony, Wadsworth Publishing and Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Harin Sandhoo

Harin Sandhoo is a solutions architect with over 10 years of experience working with federal and commercial clients. He has extensive expertise in a wide range of technologies and development methodologies. He has most recently been working with SharePoint and cloud platforms such as Windows Azure. Harin also participates in Microsoft’s VTSP Program. Prior to joining AIS, Harin worked for L-3 Titan and ITT Industries. Harsha Marc Livera Tennakoon

Marc Livera Tennakoon has more than a decade of professional experience in supporting IT solutions. Leveraging a B.Sc. in Computer Science, he has been active in the private and public sectors as a Software Test Engineer, Accessibility Technologist and Business Analyst. Marc has successfully led several enterprise level projects using the Agile development framework and is currently supporting a Dynamics CRM project for a federal customer. He is a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist and a Microsoft Certified Dynamics Specialist.

Harun Davood

Harun is a passionate full-stack software engineer with extensive experience in Javascript web development. Harun utilizes front-end frameworks like Backbone, Angular JS, and React with Redux to create responsive and reactive user interfaces. He has also helped create several applications that implement highly modular and scalable back-end solutions using Node JS, Express, and several database technologies. Harun also is apart of the DevOps practice at AIS and continues to help with integrating clients and projects into Azure Cloud Services.

Himani joined AIS in November 2018 as Software Developer working on creating prototypes for the emerging technologies. Prior to AIS, she worked as mobile application developer for both iOS and Android and would love to create or contribute one for AIS.

Ian Cillay

Ian Cillay is a Senior Software Engineer for Applied Information Sciences in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina. He built his first Web application as part of his Masters dissertation in 1996 and spent the next 11 years building large-scale Internet and intranet applications for numerous FTSE 100 corporations as a consultant/developer in London through the dotcom boom and bust. Having passed through Perl/CGI, Java, and classic ASP, he has adhered to the Microsoft ASP.NET stack for more than a decade and over the past two years rediscovered a passion for client-side JavaScript and also the promise of HTML5.

Jason McNutt serves as an Engagement Manager at Applied Information Sciences, as part of the team responsible for growing AIS business through company-wide Marketing and Sales efforts. Most recently growing/developing AIS' Digital Services Practice, to include a combination of Human Centric Design, Lean Agile Development, Open Source Front end/Back End frameworks and DevOps patterns on public and private cloud platforms.

Jason Storch

Jason Storch manages the Portals and Collaboration Practice for Applied Information Sciences. Since 2007, he has been designing internet/intranet portals and business productivity applications for AIS’ clients focusing on SharePoint, Sitecore and other Enterprise Content Management systems. Prior to coming to AIS, Jason was the Director of Software Development and Architecture of the e-commerce platform at Simplexity, one of the largest online retailers of mobile devices.

Jeff Myers

Jeff Myers is a Solutions Analyst with the federal practice at AIS. Jeff specializes in user adoption, business process analysis, development and troubleshooting for Microsoft SharePoint and Dynamics environments. He enjoys meeting with clients who are new to a particular technology and opening the door to a better way of doing business. Jeff also enjoys his spending time with his growing family, traveling and cooking.

Jeremy Sheehan

Jeremy is a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with over 16 years of experience in Microsoft technologies, and for the past 5 years focusing heavily on the Microsoft Cloud. He joined AIS in 2019 with a primary focus on creating and implementing Modern Workplace solutions utilizing the Microsoft 365 stack.

Jim Mullennix

For the past 13 years at AIS, Jim has developed and architected solutions for many AIS clients. As a Certified Azure Cloud Solutions Architect, Jim designs, builds, and helps migrate our customers to the Cloud. With over 30 years of experience in the software development arena, Jim has developed shrink-wrapped software, designed and implemented relational databases, built systems on real-time operating systems, programmed robots, and built a wide variety of web sites and enterprise systems using the full spectrum of Microsoft development tools.

Jim Strang

Jim Strang is a Software Engineer at Applied Information Sciences. He joined AIS in 2015, and has been in working in the .NET development field since 2012. Jim graduated from Miami University’s Farmer School of Business in 2014, and he has also worked for Epsilon and Cincinnati Financial. At AIS, Jim works mostly on projects for large federal clients, and specializes in Microsoft Azure development.

Jimmy Buczek

Jimmy Buczek joined AIS in 2018 working with the Managed Services Practice. He is an IT systems administrator with 20 years of experience specializing in windows server administration as well as VMware, Solaris, various patch management and backup software. Prior to working for AIS, he was the Lead Classified Server Administrator and oversaw AF's second largest data center where he maintained virtual and physical servers. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, playing video games, rooting for the San Antonio Spurs and managing his local volunteer comic-con organization.

John Blumenauer

John Blumenauer is a Senior Software Engineer with over 17 years of experience. Prior to joining AIS, he designed and developed applications of all sizes in a variety of industries including telecommunications, aerospace/defense, point-of-sale, engineering and financial. John has worked with a variety of languages and has contributed to projects of all sizes, including large scale enterprise applications. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and valuable experience with the development community as a frequent presenter at code camps and user groups throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

John Ireland

John Ireland is a Solutions Architect at Applied Information Sciences. He joined AIS in 2006, and has been in working in the .NET development field since 2000. John graduated from George Mason University in 2001 and he has also worked for .com startup companies during the first bubble. At AIS, John has worked on both sides: Federal and Commercial, mostly on projects for large commercial clients, specializing in Microsoft Azure development and DevOps.

John Wickerham

John is a Software Engineer working at Applied Information Sciences. He started writing software in the early 90s focusing on scientific and engineering solutions. Jonathan Meyer

Jonathan Meyer is a Solution Architect with over 12 years development and architecture experience. This includes multiple geospatially enabled web applications, ETL solutions and cloud migration of enterprise batch processing solutions. Joseph Funk

Joe joined AIS in 2006 as a software engineer and currently serves as a project manager in the Federal Practice. Joe has 15 years of industry experience in multiple disciplines including infrastructure, system administration, software development, and project management. With a focus on the Microsoft technology stack, his breadth of practical design and implementation expertise has contributed to multiple projects for federal customers. Most recently, Joe's projects have been centered around SharePoint 2010 and have included a Records Management implementation for a large federal customer as well as development of an enterprise-wide SharePoint composite application that included Azure technologies.

Joseph Klein

Working as an Alliance and Market Development Manager for AIS allows Joseph to build marketing programs for a forward thinking innovator in the technology field. AIS is a fast growing and an innovative company, and that environment offers challenges and opportunities for him to create new programs in the markets they serve. Kevin Aenmey is a Senior Software Engineer at Applied Information Sciences. A native South African, he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Technology in 2001, immigrated to the United States in 2006 and currently resides in Raleigh, NC. Kevin Dowker

Kevin Dowker has more than 15 years of experience designing and developing applications on a variety of Microsoft platforms as well as managing IT teams and projects primarily in the DoD space. After serving ten years in the United States Army, Kevin began his IT career working as a software developer for a large aerospace company. Kevin currently works with Applied Information Sciences as a technical project manager focused on helping DoD organizations migrate applications to Azure. He has also worked extensively on the Power Apps Platform and spends some of his time leading teams architecting line of business applications. He is passionate about Power Apps and its capabilities to solve complex organizational data challenges through rapid application prototyping and close stakeholder engagement. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Information Systems and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems with an emphasis on Database Management and Business Intelligence.

Kevin Griffie is a Practice Manager at AIS, responsible for the delivery of solutions to our commercial clients in the North East corridor. He has over 28 years of experience in the IT industry with a diverse background in both software and infrastructure across a wide range of environments. Kevin’s current mission is to work with our clients to help them leverage new technology in ways that help them transform their businesses. Kevin Hennessy is a Senior Software Engineer with AIS in Raleigh, North Carolina. He holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology and a B.A. degree in English from Yale University. He has over 15 years of experience as a developer, team lead and solutions architect working at the intersection of people and technology on web-based projects using the Microsoft technology stack. He recently authored an article on KnockoutJS for JSMag, and has spoken at code camps and user groups on a range of topics, including Knockout, BreezeJS, JavaScript frameworks, and agile methodologies.

Kip Streithorst

Kip Streithorst is a Senior Software Engineer at Applied Information Sciences. Kip has over 10 years of software development experience and has worked on both large and small projects. His experience encompasses multiple languages and types of projects, ranging from large-scale C++ desktop development to ASP.NET MVC projects using the latest HTML5 technologies. Kyle joined AIS in April of 2013 as a Software Engineer. Kyle specializes in developing web and desktop applications using the Microsoft .NET framework. Larry Katzman is a member of the AIS Senior Leadership Team as the President of AIS. Since joining AIS in 2000 as a Software Developer, he has served in a variety of roles envisioning and delivering for AIS clients in both our commercial and government groups. He holds a Master's degree in Information Systems Management from the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting & Management Information Systems from Northeastern University. Larry is passionate about working with business users and technical teams to design, develop, and deliver innovative solutions. Outside the office, Larry spends the bulk of his time with his wife, three children and two dogs.

Lei Zhong

Lei Zhong is a software engineer with over 12 years of non-stop development experience in Microsoft technologies. He has worked for top-notch consulting firms, start-ups and commercial software firms with clients from various industries. He enjoys working in both front end and middle tier, and never hesitates to dive into database for optimal performance. He always strives to deliver well-structured code that not only works in current release but is easy and flexible enough for maintenance and future enhancement needs. Leslie Bell

Leslie Bell is a business analyst and Scrum Master. She has more than 13 years of software development experience, and more than five years experience leading development efforts for enterprise applications. Her focus is on Microsoft technology solutions to include SharePoint and Dynamics CRM. Mrs. Bell has served as Scrum Master on DoD projects for over two years, and received her Scrum Master certification in 2012.

Lindagrace De la Cruz

Lindagrace De la Cruz is a Senior Technical Trainer and Business Analyst, with over seven years experience in developing and delivering training programs focusing on Microsoft applications. Her solid relationship mangement experience, performance training, and sales background, paired with her Training Generalist Certification from Langevin Learning Services, provide Lindagrace with the ultimate edge in building and delivering dynamic, custom-tailored training programs that both excite and engage the user, as well as promoting effective, and lasting, knowledge transfer. A seasoned public speaker, she has presented at national conferences as well as on television. She is currently in charge of development and delivery of all training efforts at the Department of Treasury. Lindagrace has lived abroad for more than half her life, in locations to include Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Mexico City, Mexico and Madrid, Spain. Developing an early love of cultures and languages, Lindagrace speaks Spanish, Tagalog, Portuguese and a little Italian. Lorna Sumy is an Account Executive for AIS with over 20 years of industry experience. Her focus is on streamlining business process and employee engagement through technology. Through her early experiences as a software developer and later as a project manager, she has gained an appreciation for how technology can be leveraged to add efficiencies to business processes and improve the day to day lives of employees.

Luis Gonzalez

Luis Gonzalez has been an AIS SharePoint Developer for 2 years. He brings broad ranging experience supporting Government clients over the last 14 years. Luis currently supports ICE and enjoys tackling challenges that a team has not previously performed. Over the last couple of years, he has been using the REST API in SharePoint Add-ins, and most recently to transfer client information between SharePoint and ServiceNow on real-time basis. While with AIS and current contract Luis has dabbled in lightly using Azure, PowerApps, Flow, and SPFx to support SharePoint as it continues to evolve.

Madeline Tomchick is the Microsoft Alliance Manager at Applied Information Sciences. Her role is to maintain the relationship between Microsoft and AIS. She is also in charge of the social media platforms.

Madhukar Gilla

Madhukar is a seasoned results-driven SOA professional and a technical evangelist with over 10+ years of experience in BizTalk, Cloud and SharePoint technologies. As a Technical lead he is responsible for solution architecture, development, delivery and technical effort management. He was part of the BizTalk ESB development team at Microsoft.

Malcolm Ramsay

Malcolm is a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who joined the excellent AIS team in the summer of 2018. He has over 25 years experience supporting various Microsoft technologies starting from architecture and design to deployment and support. His primary focus is messaging, teamwork, and security integrations, but has expanded to include identity and mobile collaborations. Marcy Fullbright

Marcy Fullbright joined AIS Raleigh in May 2013 as a Senior Software Engineer. She comes to us from Duke University Medical Center where she served as an IT Senior Analyst supporting Duke Medicine’s Enterprise Patient Portal. She has over 12 years of experience developing and maintaining custom web solutions and services with a main focus on the .NET stack. Marcy earned her BS degree in Biology-Geology from the University of Rochester. She discovered her inner geek after creating a website in PHP for the research lab she worked in. When not at work, Marcy loves to spend time with her husband and 2-year old daughter and their two shepherd-chows. She also loves to travel, go camping, practice yoga and can make a mean manicotti.

He brings over 20 years of experience in application development and system integrations. As a Microsoft Certified Azure Solution Architect and App Builder he has an extensive knowledge of cloud native solutions.

Matthew Dupre

Matt is a Solutions Architect at AIS and has been with the company since 2000. During his time at AIS he has designed and built a large variety of business applications using Microsoft technologies that were applicable at the time. This includes many years focused on large SharePoint environments (2007, 2010, and 2013) including designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting those environments and the custom applications that they host. Matt has done this work across AIS' practices with commercial, nonprofit, and federal customers. Most recently Matt has been focused on Cloud Solutions Architecture on Microsoft Azure and has been working with customers to transition both new and existing application development to the cloud. This includes recent emphasis on designing and building Cloud Landing Zones and resources using Azure Resource Manager and Terraform as IaC tools, Azure Data Lake Analytics (U-SQL), Azure Data Factory, and Performance Engineering.

Nasir Ali Mirza is a Sr. Tehcnical Manager with over 15 years of experience in the software development. His passion lies in the database and BI technologies. Sam Larko

Sam Larko has been working with SharePoint for six years and across the last three versions. While his experience is primarily in development, Sam has become more involved in administration and architecture over the last three years. In addition to SharePoint, he has a strong desire to become involved in mobile development, especially Android and Windows Phone.

Sangita Parikh

Sangita Parikh is the test lead at AIS with over 22 years of software testing experience. She is a certified test manager (CTM)with proven leadership skills. She successfully implemented the test practice at AIS within her first year and implemented the testing processes. Sangita Parikh led the testing of client server, Web, intranet, SharePoint, mobile, cross browser/cross devices and tablet testing efforts. Her passion for testing and software testing experience resulted in delivering software products with zero defects. Prior to joining AIS, Sangita Parikh worked at Salliemae, Perot Systems, Integic, Northrop Grumman and ComScore.

Sanjeev Bhutt

Sanjeev is a Solutions Architect at Applied Information Sciences and has been with the company for almost a decade. Sanjeev has been leading teams developing custom .NET business solutions for a large financial services company. Prior to joining AIS, Sanjeev managed the development of 'shrink-wrapped' software products. Sanjeev has an MSEE and BSEE from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Saurav Garg

Saurav Garg is Software Developer at AIS. He joined AIS in November 2020. He worked on migrating SharePoint 2010/2013 workflows to Power Automate Cloud Flows. His team was runner up for Internal Power Platform Hackathon and he is also certified Microsoft Azure Developer Associate.

Scott (MCITP, MCPD) is an Infrastructure Consultant with Applied Information Sciences. With over nine years of experience, Scott has been utilizing the .NET platform and various content management systems to develop and deploy solutions for clients. From MCMS 2002 to SharePoint 2013, Scott primarily focuses on collaboration and ECM solutions for clients.

Selvi Kalaiselvi

Selvi is OCTO Solutions Architect and has been with Applied Information Sciences since 2007. She has worked on several different projects during her tenure in AIS for various federal organizations. She has done design, developing, configuring, deploying custom/complex solutions for clients using various technologies such as .NET solutions, SharePoint, Business Intelligence, and past few years heavily in Azure cloud migration efforts, deep dive into all Azure offerings, and currently she will focus more in DevSecOps initiatives/implementations with new clients. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, volunteer work, serving as President in a non-profit language school, and any cultural activities.

Senthilraj Krishnan

Senthilraj is a DevOps Manager at AIS India with over 19 years of experience in developing applications using Microsoft technologies. He is TFS Certified and likes to explore latest trends on ALM. He has extensive expertise in a wide range of technologies and development methodologies. Stephen Iacovelli

Stephen joined AIS in 2013 as a Principal Software Engineer, bringing with him over 24-years of progressive experience in all aspects of systems design, implementation and management. He has led and managed complex technical implementation projects for clients in various sectors and industries including banking, insurance, printing, telecommunications, manufacturing, retail and national defense. For the past two years, Stephen has focused his efforts on development mobile applications on the Android, iOS, and Windows Phone platforms. He has a Master’s of Science in Information Systems from Roosevelt University, in Chicago as well as a Bachelor’s in Computer Science. Currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, Stephen has nearly 30-years of combined enlisted and officer service in the Army.

Steve Michelotti

Steve Michelotti is a Microsoft ASP.NET MVP and a contributing author for Pluralsight training. In addition, Steve is a frequent presenter at developer user groups and Code Camps along the East Coast and holds the MCSD, MCPD, and MCT certifications. Steve is an avid blogger (http:/geekswithblogs.net/michelotti), has contributed articles to Visual Studio Magazine, and his work on high performance web solutions was featured on Channel 9. Currently he is serving as an Architect/Developer for Applied Information Sciences (AIS) where he is leading a multi-year effort to modernize the business systems of a major insurance carrier. Previously he was the Chief Technologist at e.magination where he consulted with clients including Advertising.com/AOL where he was the Tech Lead for one of the highest volume .NET applications in the world.

Steven Suing

Steven Suing is a practice manager for Applied Information Sciences and is responsible for overseeing the new North Carolina office. With over 12 years of experience, Steven has built an excellent record of delivering technical solutions for companies in a timely and efficient manner. Using his past experience and his business background, Steven has been able to mentor his team, recruit developers, and stimulate the growth of the fledgling North Carolina office. Steven is the Vice President of the Triangle .Net User group in Raleigh. He is heavily involved in the technical community and is passionate about the software industry and new technologies. Outside of AIS, Steven enjoys spending time with his wife and two girls, especially doing outdoor activities and science experiments. He is a woodworker and competitive racquetball player.

He provides engineering and support for production government systems and development environments.

Tacy Holliday

Dr. Holliday is a versatile and seasoned leader and organizational change management consultant working at the intersection of people, technology, process, and results. She has served as a trusted advisor to CEOs and senior leaders on efforts such as enhancing performance outcomes, promoting stakeholder engagement, governance, process and service innovation. Her current focus is enterprise-level digital transformation such as through Azure, O365 GCCH, and DevOps.

Taylor Ivy

Taylor Ivy is a DevOps Engineer with AIS. He has 8 years of industry experience with expertise in automation, cloud environments, infrastructure, and monitoring. He has worked as a software engineer, and a systems engineer for server, networking, security, and monitoring teams. Taylor is knowledgeable in PowerShell, Python, Bash, Linux, Windows, CI/CD, and more.

Terence Wiles

Terence Wiles is a Content Manager with more than 10 years of extensive writing and editing experience. He is now utilizing strategic brand management skills and marketing expertise to contribute to the success of AIS' marketing efforts by developing compelling content. Having worked in a wide array of creative roles, as well as the in the health and information technology sectors, he is extremely adept at integrating communication, marketing and public relations efforts to maximize brand awareness, recognition, constituent buy-in, sales and community mobilization.

Terra Gilbert

Terra has been with AIS for almost 7 years. She began her career long ago as an accountant. She soon realized the accounting software she was working with was far more interesting than the numbers themselves. She went back to school to study database design and information technology. She has been working in the industry for the last 10 years, infinitely curious about everything and always open to learning something new.

Thimmarasu Lanka

Thimmarasu Lanka is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise applications using Microsoft technologies. He has been at AIS since April 2008 and has since been in multiple roles starting as Software Developer through Software Engineer, Module Leadd, Project Lead and Solution Specialist. Mr. Lanka loves to take up delivery and technical challenges solving mission-critical and time-critical business problems. Mr. Lanka is especially interested in solution designing and architecture towards a meaningful and longterm business benefit.

Tim Larson

Tim Larson is originally from Atlanta, GA, but somehow he's been transplanted to Dayton, OH. During the day, he's proud to work with amazing developers at Applied Information Sciences. While he's getting more into JS/CSS/HTML, he's traditionally worked in the .Net world. There are so many new technologies, but there are just too few hours in a day... After work, Tim heads home to his amazing wife and two sons. His boys delight him to no end, especially when building with Legos or playing in the creek.

tom mckearney

Tom is a Cloud Solution Architect at AIS with nearly 30 years’ experience in the industry. His work experience includes such varying topics as Automated Weather Observation, Phone Switch Management, Financial Software, Biometrics, Handwriting Analysis, Insurance, Document Management Systems and Global Scale Military Battle Simulations. He has designed and developed everything from tiny on-chip Smart Card software to Embedded Systems to progressive web apps up to large scale distributed systems deployed to Azure. He has also served as a technical reviewer on a handful of technical books covering topics such as the HTTP/2 protocol, Chatbot Development, Windows Store App Development, Silverlight, and Scratch. He has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Loyola University in Baltimore.

Tom O'Connell

Tom is a member of the Board of Directors, Chief Strategy Officer and a Managing Partner. Tom provides executive-level consulting to our clients, mentors our Account Managers and Business Development personnel and supports our strategic account planning and management. Tom manages our strategic relationship with Microsoft at an executive level. Tom previously served as president, vice president of sales and marketing, vice president of corporate development and practice management.

Tony Wolf

Tony has spent 15 years working within the geospatial intelligence community as a Remote Sensing Data Scientist, an Air and Space Systems Engineer, and most recently as the Director of Special Programs at AIS. His research on hyperspectral phenomenology has been published in multiple Int’l Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE) journals and presented at international proceedings such as the World Geospatial Forum and the GEOINT Symposium. Tony also earned top-prize for his research focused on enhancing commercial MSI data, winning the DigitalGlobe Worldview-2 8 Band Challenge. Today, his focus is architecting next-generation geospatial data processing methods to support tomorrow’s platforms and data.

Udaiveer Virk

Udaiveer Virk is a Cloud Engineer who has worked on multiple projects bringing customers to the cloud. He specializes in providing Azure API Management solutions to clients, and providing DevOps and Automation-based implementations. He is a member of the AIS Solutions Team as part of the Office of the Chief Technology Officer.

Vijay Petwal

Vijay Petwal serves as a Business Analyst at AIS with over 12 years of experience in managing software development projects. Vijay acquired his MBA with a concentration in IT at GMU’s School of Management. Prior to working at AIS, Vijay worked at SRA International as a Configuration Manager and helped the company achieve CMMi Level 3 process improvement status. Vijay brings a wealth of experience in the areas of process improvement, configuration management, business analysis, requirements analysis, project management, testing, training and user support.

Vishal Gamji

Vishal is a Data Architect at AIS with over eight years of experience in designing and implementing large scale data warehouses, and over four years of experience leading diverse and remote Agile teams. Vishal's work in the consulting domain prior to joining AIS spans various areas; the majority of which are the healthcare sector of managed care, medical devices & COTS products. Vishal has extensive expertise in the Microsoft Business Intelligence domain working with clients like CDC, Amerigroup, Medtronic Inc. & TeleTracking. Vishal received his Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from Vishweswariah University, India and his Masters degree in Computer and Information Sciences from University of South Alabama. He is currently enrolled in the part-time MBA program at the University of Maryland majoring in Marketing & Strategy and is planning on graduating in Spring 2014. Vishal is also a Microsoft Certified IT Professional in SQL Server technology.

Vishwas Lele serves as Chief Technology Officer at Applied Information Sciences, Inc. Mr. Lele is responsible for assisting organizations in envisioning, designing, and implementing enterprise solutions. Mr. Lele brings close to 24 years of experience and thought leadership to his position, and has been at AIS for 18 years. A noted industry speaker and author, Mr. Lele serves as Microsoft Regional Director for the Washington, D.C. area and is a member of Windows Azure Insiders group. Additionally, Mr. Lele received an MVP (Most Valuable Professional) for Solution Architecture.

Warren Steger

Warren Steger is a Principal Business Analyst as AIS with over 30 years of experience in the IT industry. Over the years, he has worked on projects in many different domains including spacecraft support systems, telecommunications, insurance, transportation, energy services, finance, and state and federal government. In his current role, he provides support to clients in developing and managing requirements for systems. He also helps clients adopt Agile software development practices. Throughout his career, he has also performed the role of project manager, solution architect, developer, tester, and support operations staff. Warren currently is a member of Microsoft’s Business Platform Technology Advisors group and a member of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). Prior to joining AIS, Warren worked for CSC, Verizon, and Iridium LLC. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Washington and Jefferson College and his Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.

Weimin Hou

Weimin Hou joined AIS in 2018 as a User Experience (UX) Researcher. She has years of experience conducting user research and evaluation, functioning as a User Research Lead or Information Architect on numerous projects for government agencies, international organizations, institutions, and private companies. Weimin is proficient with various user-centered design methods and enjoys working with diverse users. Since joining AIS, she has also been working as a Business Analyst and Organizational Change Manager.

Will Miller

Will Miller joined AIS in 2010 as a Software Engineer. During his time at with the company he has worked on several projects, including a dashboard tool for a marketing agency and a cloud-based business-to-business web application for a well-known jewelry chain. His most recent project is a construction site inspection tool for Windows 8 tablets. Will holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Hood College.

William Shepherd

William Shepherd joined AIS in 2012 after graduating from Trinity University with a B.S. in computer science. William is part of the San Antonio office and works as a software engineer. He has been working with ASP.NET and other web technologies for two years and is currently learning SharePoint.

Yared Tsegaye

Yared Tsegaye is a Solution Architect and Consultant at Applied Information Sciences. He has been with the company since 2007 and has been active in the industry for 18 years. During his time at AIS, Yared has worked on enterprise class solution development with a focus on .NET, SharePoint, and Business Intelligence.
