From Fragmented Delivery to a Governed GitHub Platform
CHALLENGE
A global commercial property insurer needed to modernize a software delivery environment spread across legacy tools, disconnected repositories, and inconsistent pipeline practices.
GitHub Copilot licenses had been introduced, but the broader engineering foundation was not ready to support “AI-enabled development at enterprise scale.
SOLUTION
AIS began with an agentic engineering workshop using a live legacy application. The workshop brought stakeholders together around the application’s “domain, dependencies, and modernization needs,” then established the migration path from discovery to an enterprise GitHub migration program.
AIS established a governed engineering foundation that supports modern software delivery today and agentic engineering in the future.
RESULTS
-Domain discovery compressed from 12 months to 3 weeks
-More than 900 developers included in the enablement strategy
-A migration factory designed to support approximately 3,000 repositories
